State Fair Artwork

I hope that my students place this year at the NC State Fair! I have six in the computer graphics competition and one in the web design and six in the fine arts in the Elementary Division! Wish us well! We won sixth place three years ago there! Each student got $20 a piece..doesn't sound like a ton, but to kids it is! I had another student that same year win $80 in the computer graphics! I was literally jumping up and down like an idiot at the fair that year when I found out! I was truly shocked, not at my students abilities but at the fact we got recognized out of 118 other Elementary Schools displayed at the fair!

Classes are going well!

This week was my first full week of classes! (Elementary Art Teacher PreK-5th)

Everyone is doing great and following rules, a few here and there getting some "time out" but able to return to the art tables after a minute and then great the remainder of art time! We will begin Artists of the Week and "Clean up duties" in the coming weeks!

Just wanted to report out on that!

Going to be a great year!

Back to School!

Two more weeks til the kids come back to school (where I teach that is)!

We will be doing ATCs in the classroom again this year! I am trying to think of ways to keep it exciting! They loved it last year and were obsessed!


Any suggestions for something for the beginning of the school year to make an ATC lesson exciting? Let me know!
